Why we exist
Our mission is to strengthen rural communities by helping individuals and families experiencing hardship obtain essential services they otherwise may not be able to afford.
When assistance is approved, the Foundation funds eligible tasks performed through the Rural Neighbor platform. This allows recipients to receive practical help with needs such as home safety, transportation, accessibility, household support, yard maintenance, and other urgent community services.
Lend a Hand Foundation, Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It is not affiliated with, owned by, or controlled by Rural Neighbor Corporation. Rural Neighbor is the platform through which Foundation-funded tasks are posted, coordinated, and completed. All eligibility and assistance decisions are made independently by the Foundation.
